The One World Volunteers [Sri Lanka Model United Nation's community service initiative] presents LIGHT UP : A fundraiser carnival in aid of Kumar Sangakkara's 'Bikes for Life' campaign.
The Bikes for Life campaign by Sanga aims to raise Rs. 5 million to purchase 500 bicycles for children living in the rural areas surrounding Kilinochchi, Mankulam and Mullativu. These bicycles will be given to carefully selected children who desperately need transportation to attend school and obtain the education necessary to free them from a life of hardship and poverty.
Tickets for the carnival are Rs.200, to be bought from volunteers prior to the event and at the gate. It will feature a range of stalls from body art,food from around the world, and video games arcade-to live music by resident DJs and a line up of exciting performances including TNL Onstage winners Roadkill and finalists Ethereal!
